Vectorized shadows exports?

MusicFreakArchiGuy

I’m quite passionate about vector graphics in architecture. I have an eBook of Architectural Graphics by Francis DK Ching, 6th Edition. He has used vector shadows and gradients!

I was blown away when I saw the graphics.

I am just curious what software did he use to create such shadows?

Manually applying gradient in Illustrator would be a cumbersome procedure.

Any way to directly export vector shadows from any particular software?

Not sure if I understand, but they appear to be simple computer renderings using either V-ray, Maxwell, Artlantis or Kerkythea etc. I don't think the shadows are vectors with a fill but simply the rendered pixels.

Or just use illustrator for vector rendering.

Yeah, this is literally an explanation of how to manually draw shadows, and was probably just done in illustrator.

Most people would just do what Randomized said, which is the easier method for most applications, even though I don't think that was what was done here. The consistency of the gradients would seem to give it away as illustrator/vector work to me.
