Was curious to see examples from the community of nice design moves that were done on a small budget. Not necessarily all small details but also building massing.
Thanks Zenza, those are some great projects. Certainly some ideas can be pulled from them.
My critique however of some of that work is that the labor pool is very cheap and plentiful. Funding for such projects also usually comes from a variety of sources that aid in getting things built.
In one sense it's almost impractical in the context of the US. Which not to seem small minded is where I'm working and am hoping to find examples.

Big moves, small budget
This is the topic for this month's Archinect call for submissions:
Open Call for Submissions: Architectural Survival
》Project Submissions: Tightly-Budgeted Work
Show off your small-budget built projects that didn’t compromise quality. We’re looking for creative use of materials, magical budget re-organizing and other techniques applied to make amazing spaces from limited resources.
Lots of good stuff in Asia and Africa. Some small-scale projects by a21 studio may be what you're looking for. Also, Kéré Architecture comes to mind.
