So you mean that the jury didn't happened yet? I understood it was last friday. Oh well I guess I shouldn't get too excited about it. So darkred are you happy with your project? We probably shouldn't talk about it before the results, but next week, we will be able to compare our loosy ideas and maybe post them in the gallery. I'll post again if I have news first ; )
The results have been announced and as expected I didn't any prize or mention. That's okay though, because Europaconcorsi has set up a page for me and the other loosers to publish their little projects for free. For those interested:
Well I think ther's definitely an idea.. it's a pragmatical and a commercial idea, since it would give a brand more opportunities to sell coffee in an unexpected "place" (the escalator) but it's a smart move to trind to define the idea of place through comtemporary places I think, especially if this place is usually not considered as a place in the classical sense of the term. It looks a lot like Brian Boyer's idea that I encountered by chance on the web and which was smart too. Same kind of idea, but with an office building elevator. I understand from the domusweb forum that a lot of people where disappointed by the commercial aspect of it, and the purposedly non-critical type of the project, but that's the kind of project that usually win this kind of competition. Plus the communication of the project was very effective. Too bad that the website only specified hmtl or ppt files as presentation, or I would have made a flash file too instead of a crappy powerpoint....
french (and others) which entries are yours? I really wanted to enter the competition (coffee addict) but ran out of time and gave priority to grad school applications.......hmmmmmm........coffee.........
oh I guess it's not going to be the first time I'll break my identity on this website, but I'm not sure I should be proud of my project. I mean it's as usual: I kind of like my idea (I'm so smart) but I only had a week end to write the text in my aproximative English and produce the little amount of drawing I did. Anyway here it is:
