i've found it best to keep it as simple and clean as possible, the most
important part is not the resume though, but the cover letter, it is the thing that catches your attention right away- and what stays in their mind afterwards- the resume part is just a listing of work/acheivements/dates, the cover letter puts it in perspective and personalizes it. there are plenty of good examples of cover letters on the internet, just google 'cover letter examples' or something similar..
