My sister is graduating from her M.Arch program this spring, and I'd like to give her an architecture-related graduation present. Ideally, something functional and useful--an item she might use in her professional life.
Any thoughts on what this could be? Alternatively, what type of gift (besides straight cash) would you have liked to receive?
Graduation gift for new M.Arch?
Hi,
My sister is graduating from her M.Arch program this spring, and I'd like to give her an architecture-related graduation present. Ideally, something functional and useful--an item she might use in her professional life.
Any thoughts on what this could be? Alternatively, what type of gift (besides straight cash) would you have liked to receive?
Thanks in advance.

Scotch?
bourbon is making a comeback. as if it went anywhere
good headphones might be appreciated. or a nice trackball (logitech trackman). architects don't provide proper input devices. or an ipad.
a grad school application for a different profession.
Get her a women's leather briefcase or maybe a handmade wooden jewelry box from someplace like "Appalachianspring.com".
a copy of:
"No Excuses" by Brian Tracy
Nikon digital SLR camera or maybe a women's Omega Swiss watch.
Why does it have to be architecturally related? Why not something fun or unrelated? Maybe a vacation away from the life she's about to embark in?
toosaturated makes a good point. get her some opium so she can get away for a little while.
