If I don't get into Arch School...

ConstructionKid

whatever should I do? There's a 90% chance that I won't get in. Despite my nick, I'm actually not a construction worker. WhatEVER should I do?

I'M THERE WITH YOU. I APPLIED TO HARVARD, YALE AND UVA (ALL VERY DIFFERENT SCHOOLS, APPLIED TO FOR VERY DIFFERENT REASONS, THOUGH) AND IT'S EXTREMELY LIKELY THAT I AM NOT GETTING IN. I PLAN ON IMPROVING MY PORTFOLIO AND MAKING SURE I CREDIT EVERY SINGLE IDP CREDIT HOUR SO I DON'T WASTE TIME IF I DECIDE TO SKIP GRAD SCHOOL AND DO THE ALL-APPRENTICESHIP ROUTE.

until you find out, worry about it.

when you get rejected, dwell on it.

apply to an in-state school with rolling admissions as a fallback school.

go into another profession...you'll make more money. and just tell people you're an architect...they'll never know the diff.!

rework your portfolio and try again. also apply to a variety of schools that interest you. you could find the ideal program for you in a non-ivy school.

and don't listen to setsquareboy, if its what you want to do, keep your chin up and your nose to the grindstone.

Donate money, at the level of an endowed professorship, to the school of your choice.
