I'm very conflicted right now, and I'm at a crossroads here. A lot of what I've been hearing is just noise, and I really need some clear help here. I want to know if it's better to do get a BArch degree straight up, or get a degree in engineering and then do something in architecture. For the second option, what would that entitle? What EXACT engineering degree is the best, and from where, and what would I do after that?
word of warning - most engineering pedagogy is antithetical to architecture pedagogy; the more related fields would be civil, structural, environmental, mechanical, though I suppose there are others that would also be an interesting combination biomechanical for example.

Might want to tell people what your goal is if you want any useful feedback.
