Is it possible to create a personal render farm easily?
I recently purchased a new computer. But I still have my old one. I would love to be able to batch render using both computers. (and maybe even my roomates when he's not using it) I've searched the internet but can't seem to find anything.
...i tried doing the whole home render farm for a while, i was using max though, easier but still a big headache, and too slow, i finally started using these guys http://www.respower.com/ my 15 hour renderings turned into 1/2 hour jobs, and the prices are very reasonable. i'm not just pimping these guys though, there are a lot of other render farms out there that probably are just as good. besides, even buying your own small renderboxx/farm is still far slower than these renderfarm's can do and very expensive. it sucks i didn't find these service farms sooner, so many wasted hours...
times too valuable to waste it waiting for a rendering, theres much more productive things to do much....like post on message boards....
Yeah, I came acros respower while searching on the net. I'm not interested in paying money for this.
I just have what I consider excess capacity lying around, and it would be great if I could put it to use. I know it probably wouldn't help much, but I figure two processors are always better than one, even if one of them is probably about half the power.
Every little bit helps.

Does anyone know if there any plug-ins or such?

yeah I had thoughtabout that recently as well, but also didnt get anywhere. only websites for people selling them.
