I was on my computer this morning and a microsoft error message popped up saying that there was multiple use of my IP address or something along those lines...or my IP address was in use...
I'm guessing someone stole my IP address?(duh)
or something...what do I do to fix it. I am staying at a hotel and am using their wireless...
my computer has been running particularly slow as well...
WHAT DO I DO? I'm computer retarded or pretty close.
You probably were assigned and IP address in the range owned by the hotel for use in getting out to the Internet through thier network. Don't woory about it your computer has not been compromised and the error is on their end (they assigned the IP twice and it is conflicting on their domain name controller).
Disconnect (turn off your computer) from their network, wait a few minutes and plug back in to be assigned a new IP.
