This question appears on Columbia GSAPP's application? Anybody have any insight into whether or not a question like this should be answered?
It's seeing how much likely you would take their offer if you were accepted elsewhere also. If you are all in on one school, then they could specifically seek you out if sought after.
The truth helps. Some people apply to a bunch of safety schools or toss their chances everywhere so this is a way to somewhat account for those kinds.
