I'm currently an undergrad student trying to compile a portfolio of my work I've done over the past few years. I'm sort of clueless to how I should go about organizing and creating a graphic language in representing my work. Can anyone point me to any graphic design resources which talk about portfolio layout and different styles I could possibly emulate in representing my own work?
I'd check out the "2011 M.Arch applicants, commiserate here!" thread, as well as the previous years threads, often people will post links to their portfolios there. Also, people have posted their own threads to get input on their own portfolios, so maybe you can do a search for those (is there still a search function on Archinect?) They're good sources for ideas.
You can also look at schools or firms (not just architecture, but any design based) websites for ideas, and often arch schools have student work online in a gallery, which is good to just browse anyway.
As for books on portfolio or graphic design there are several out there, but I can't comment on them since I haven't used them. I tend to do more research online on places like Archinect here, I feel it can be more up to date than books, plus you can receive input from and interact with a number of other people all working on the same thing, something books can't do.

portfolio layout/ graphic design resources?
Hey all,
I'm currently an undergrad student trying to compile a portfolio of my work I've done over the past few years. I'm sort of clueless to how I should go about organizing and creating a graphic language in representing my work. Can anyone point me to any graphic design resources which talk about portfolio layout and different styles I could possibly emulate in representing my own work?
Thanks a lot
