one of my favorite architects up north is Vincent James. Although i don't know the firm well, it seems to me that they exemplify what MoMMA stands for. From the Dayton House to their plan for the American University in Beirut....different set of problems, different sites, different cultures...different solutions. Do what needs to be done, and do it well.
Yes, absolutely! Both Vincent James and former partner Julie Snow are doing some wonderful work. As is David Salmela in Duluth.
Minnesota might have more than its fair share of strong practices. Meyer, Scherer, Rockastle always kept things interesting. During the 90's Hammell Green Abrahamson did an about-face from fairly dry corporate stuff to much more adventurous and considered work.
