I did it, though not always as much as 20 hours (except in summers). Often, it was fewer, and I was blessed with a very accommodating employer. Course work plus TA'ing or RA'ing are themselves very time consuming, if you want to excel.

phd and part time work
Hi all. Is it possible/doable to work part time (20 h/week) in a small firm while in a funded history/theory PhD at an ivy league school? Thanks.
