I have checked out summer introduction to architecture programs at cornell and columbia through online. columbia has yet to finish their and i've been eamiling cornell. however, i personally see columbia's program more appealing.. also its a 10 minute subway ride away.
but yea.. if you have any experience or facts about either of these programs.. please post. also i'm interested in other programs.
oh and one thing, i'm in a pre-arch program and the thing is, my school has no studio program geared for architecture. we have intro to sculpting and drawing but I'm not sure if the work i do there is sufficient for a portfolio/transcript of work to get accepted to this program. what could/should i do?
summer intro at cornell is amazing, i did it back in 2002 and highly recommend it. its probably the best one around.
arch schools dont want to see too much arch work in portfolios when you apply. theyd rather see that you can do other stuff: painting, drawing, photo, sculpture...plus, if you do the intro summer program that will give you a few arch things to add to your portfolio if you apply for admission to undergrad arch programs.
you dont need a portfolio to get into the summer program i dont think, so no worries there
