I am looking for some photos of some more rundown parts of the MIT campus for a paper I am doing. Anybody have any links or any good photos. Much appreciated!
Google for Building 20. It's the WWII era building that was torn down to build the Stata Center. That place was a dump, but some people loved it anyways.
There is a chapter in "How Buildings Learn", by Stewart Brand, that is practically an ode to Building 20.
Chapter 3: '"Nobody Cares What You Do In There" - The Low Road'. Includes pictures from 1945 and 1990 and a lot of personal observations from Brand's time there while part of the Media Lab.

MIT press has recently published a book on the evolution of MIT campus.
(I don't know how much it will contain the information you need...)
