Then why are you going into an art (hybrid) profession?
Well you have 2 years to practice... take a drawing class, learn cad, Revit, sketchup, photoshop and look online at other portfolios to learn how to put one together. There are alot of portfolios to look at under the discussions to get you started...

Currently an undergrad majoring Urban Studies... 2 more years til applying to Grad school.,...
Some of stuff being discussed here seems like another language...
No idea how to start portfolio, nor am I good at artsy stuff.... Have good ideas, don't know how to put together...
