Will arch school get me a job at Home Depot?

RValu100

I want to become a Designer in the Kitchen/Bath section at Home Depot. Will architecture school help me achieve my goal?

Only if you work there before you graduate. If you apply with a degree they won't trust your long term interest in the position.

I had an interview at IKEA for one of the Kitchen Design positions and they told me the same thing.

If you go to architecture school, you will soon realize that is not what you want to do with your degree anyway. And if it is then you are wasting a lot of sleepless nights and $$.

You actually have to know how to detail a kitchen to get that job.

You didn't learn that in architecture school.

You don't need arch school. That's just one of the very many positions where an arch degree is a LIABILITY.

All you have to do is pass their online psych exam, and getting an education won't help you do that.
