I'll be traveling by car in Switzerland during the time period (early May) when, unfortunately, Zumthor's Thermal Baths - the spa and the hotel - are closed.
Is it worth spending the extra 2-3 hours driving to and from Vals to see it regardless of it being closed, or would it be a waste of time?
Considering that you can get a room (in season) at the Therme Vals for $116 per night, and it's right next door, yes, i still think it's too expensive at Villa...

Waste of time if you can not get in.

I looked into that but the crazies want over $1,000 to stay there!
