Interesting firms in HK?

10

I think Hong Kong would be a great place to live for a summer, so why not try and get an internship too? I'm having difficulty thinking of firms to apply to. I have been using the Google, but would love to hear some personal recommendations from fellow Archinectors.

So far I have:

OMA HK
Aedas
Edge
Denise Ho

Has anyone interned at any of these firms? Any opinions, suggestions, recommendations? I am flexible as far as firm-type is concerned because I have so little work experience. I would consider a job at Aedas as productive as one at OMA for various reasons.

Ideas?

Thanks!

you could also look at the faculty members of the universities in HK that offer M.Arch. and if they have any professional ties

A good one is HKU, the university of Hong Kong

SOM doesn't have an actual HK office, just one person doing business development work. KPF is also very small, just a few guys.

Hong Kong Institute of Architects has a list of architectural offices, though most are local: http://218.188.25.84/corporate_member/contact.php?search=A

10 Design is a relatively new firm and does good work. They branched out of RMJM:

HoK has a nice office of about 80 people in Hong Kong.
