i would like to see some social housing projects that involve the possibility of expanding one's apartment, like adding an extra room when needed, and i don't know how these are called, therefore i don't have much luck finding such examples.
can anyone tell me a generic name for this kind of housing units, or share some examples directly?
I believe those were called "communal living apartments" in the soviet union, when they split 1 bedroom into 3 rooms and used the same bathroom for 4 families.
