Thanks for the help...one more question....So, now I am the sole person working on the project. What file do I put on my portable hard drive so i can take the file home and work from there on my laptop???...the local or the central? Sorry if this is a stupid question, still working thru this whole Revit thang!
You can do it with either... but it is interesting that you are working with a central file when you are the only person working on a project... If you take the local file home with you, you will have to re-save the local file over the existing central file (checking 'make this a central file after save' as it will lose its connection with the original central. In the future, it might be better to keep the file as a local (not enabling worksharing) if you are the only person working on it, as it makes things a little more straightforward and you don't always have to save twice or keep two redundant files.
Hope it helps
