Are you sure this is a real term? Sounds fake... Why not just use architectural origami instead? Looks way more fun than drawdel.
not sure if the term is real, i know it was used in grad school....our profession is known for making up words that don't exist in any dictionary...
my experience with them was laser cutting the section drawing onto a solid surface (mdf) and then building the section model off of the cut lines, so in the end you get both the surface info from the drawing and the spatial qualities in the model...

Anyone know where one might find images of drawdels? If tried google but haven't come across a single image.
Drawdel definition (in case anyone is wondering): a composite drawing & model (many times it is simply an extruded section drawing...)
