12 PASSIVE HOUSES

An array of twelve houses, leaning in alternating poses to catch the light of the sun, seem to each strike their own static pose in a wood cladden dance.

Generous windows punctuate the facades, both front and rear..  Some of these windows - elements of an air and light circulation strategy employed to heat the homes in winter while cooling them in summer - wrap the corners of the homes and drape the roof lines.

With passive solar panels to heat water, water which will be recuperated and cycled for optimized efficiency, we’re striving to greatly minimize the use of external energy sources.  In spite of the surrounding buildings of this Parisian suburb light will fill the whole of each home.

For select interior walls: Exposing the wood panels of which the array of houses are to be erected - while using the factory cut-offs to construct stairs, doors and furniture - aid in a unified flow of wood leading straight out the back and into the large gardens accompanying each home.
