As One Architecture recently competed in the international competition for the design of the New Taipei City Museum of Art.  Our design imagined a ribbon of laminated bamboo that undulated across the site, enclosed exhibition galleries and building spaces, and protected the interior from the intense heat and rain of the region.  The roof of this bamboo line became a sculpture garden and was accessible by the public and covered with a shading structure of photovoltaic panels.  The design blends contemporary architectural theory with sustainable architectural concerns.
