The private apartment unit is located in Taipei city, owned by a family of four, a couple, grandmother, and daughter. The client approached to ChengWei Chiang studio for a full interior renovation service with Zen interior style. The scope of work including design concept, programming, floor planning, materials and finishes, furniture selection, lighting design, and all documentation of drawings.

The client requested to enlarge their kitchen, which was tiny and located awkwardly in the corner of the house, next to the canopy, while still maintain a big living room. The designer ChengWei Chiang proposed the idea to swap the location of kitchen and bathroom, because the location of original bathroom has the potential to serve as an open kitchen and dining area. The client accepted the suggestion and the final solution appeared to be successful. The existing living room was maintained and a new open large kitchen was created with a wood dining table and a hidden bathroom door next to it.
