Formerly known as MeiTai Hostel, the property had been re-designed and turned into a modern boutique hostel. Located in a small alley near TaiYuan Road in Taipei, a realistic wall painting right in front of Beimen WOW Poshtel pops out and attracts passerby's attention, also serving as a entry guide for the new comers. 

According The Independent, a British online newspaper: The term "poshtel" is used to describe hostels that mix luxury with affordable necessities.

Inspired by the heritage of the building and its history, the design team proposed the idea to bring back the history of old Taipei City, not only reflects the building's history but serves as a live cultural tour for foreigners who stay here. Collaborated with wall painting artist, ZhongHui Xie, together with the design team, they created 3D wall paintings that allow travelers to interact with it and becomes a popular photo shooting spot on each level of stairwell.
