In 2010 the easyHotel chain was launched in the Netherlands: a hotel formula that is part of the easyGroup of Sir Stelios HajiIoannou, known from easyJet. For the design of the hotels, Xcentric Hotels bv, franchise holder for the Benelux, signed an agreement with Architectenbureau Filip Mens.

Under the motto 'simple comfort, great value' Xcentric Hotels bv realized three trendy easyHotels in Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam.

easyHotel The Hague is located on the Parkstraat, easyHotel Rotterdam on the Westblaak and easyHotel Amsterdam on the Ferdinand Bolstraat.

After the realization of these first three hotels, Architectenbureau Filip Mens was asked to design the next generation of hotel rooms. EasyHotel Brussels is the first hotel that has been realized with this new hotel room concept. The next coming-up locations are: easyHotel Amsterdam Arena, easyHotel Zaandam, easyHotel Scheveningen, easyHotel Maastricht and easyHotel Hoofddorp (Schiphol).
