The Escape Game

The Escape Game Austin (TEG) is a new entertainment experience where participants must find clues and solve puzzles in order to “escape” from a series of “locked” rooms. The entrance to TEG celebrates both the business identity and gaming concept through seemingly distorted architecture. Entering the space, angular forms challenge the viewer to ponder multiple perspectives: floors, walls and ceilings invade one another in striking, confusing forms. The bizarre nature of the room stimulates the brain’s innate drive to rationalize that which it perceives. Within a gaming context, this can mean seeking reasonable solutions to fun but confusing experiences; thus, the entrance itself becomes an entertaining puzzle which one must solve. The space also serves as a psychological transition between the outside world and TEG, preparing participants for the games that follow.
