Rendezvous House

This family home in the Rendezvous area of the Methow Valley is aptly named. It provides a welcoming gathering place for a family and a place for entertaining friends from far and near. The L-shaped house and adjacent garage create a sheltered courtyard on the north for growing fruit trees and flowers. The south façade is open to the expansive mountain views. The exterior is clad in a combination of cedar and weathered steel. The owners are great cooks so the kitchen is prominent and further reinforces the notion of the house as “gathering place”. The owners have many talents and interests including gardening, making music, painting and art collecting, and at 2,500 square feet the Rendezvous House has space and for all those pursuits.
