The project provided the redevelopment of the entire urban area defined by the square removing all that was built in the 60 age of last century without any concern for the quality and the welfare of urban citizens and shaping the monumental area dedicated to the musician Umberto Giordano who was born in Foggia in the middle 'of 1800 century. The monumental area, through a group of bronze sculptures, highlights the major operas of the composer as Andrea Chenier, Fedora, Siberia and others. These bronze sculptures made in the 1964 was in large parts damaged cause weather factors and pollutants and the absolute lack of care. Near the square there is an ancient eighteenth-century church separated from the square by a stretch of road. The project has organized the entire area relating in a unitary form all the elements of quality. The bronzes sculptures made by the venetian artist Vio are been restored leaving the original patina. The originary floor of the square was lost when during the 1960 was changed trought a thin Trentino stone of only 2 centimetres thick. This floor was totally disconnected and fractured and was removed to create e new floor made of large Vicenza and Apricena stones of 6 centimetres thick with natural terracotta strips. Trought this work was changed the entire technology net and near the ancient church was create a new little square that defines the entrance.
