Chinese Eastern Railway cultural heritage museum is located in Inner
Mongolia Autonomous Region, Zalantun. In order to invade China, Russia
started the construction of the Chinese Eastern Railway in 1898, and they
captured the railway ownership. The Eastern Railway construction also
extended to the Zalantun. Part of the railway heritage has been preserved
in Zalantun. Therefore, the purpose of construction of the museum is to
show the history of Chinese Eastern Railway and culture of that period.
