The project was aimed to reconstruct
the block of Xi’an Film Studio. The main
idea was exploring how montage can
play in architecture, so that the interdisciplinary
co operation could be achieved.
The new block which replaced the old
block is a complex of film culture, commerce,
official business and landscape.
This project was completed by a group
of three students including me. I put forward
the main idea and the scheme
design. In later work, I developed the
ideas about the facades, then I manipulated
different facade textures and patterns
to achieve the ideal facade design.
