Net-Zero Farmhouse

Conceived as a modern farmhouse this residence sits overlooking a small creek and the forest beyond. The orientation and motorized awnings allow it to take advantage of the suns energy when appropriate. Add to that an R50 insulated envelope, geothermal heating/cooling and 6kw of solar panels with full battery backup, and you have a building that creates enough electricity to power itself and 2 electric vehicles making it completely grid independent.
