The site is the large city block surrounding the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. It is bound by East Temple Street on the north, North Alameda Street on the east, East First Street on the south, and Judge John Aiso Street on the west. It contains surface parking lots, an old parking structure that can be demolished, the Japanese American National Museum that will remain, an edge of low density retail, and a row of mature Ficus trees.
