This is my thesis project that locates in a neighborhood, Elysian Park. It is a unique neighborhood that cuts off from the rest of the city by the river, and the I-2 and I-5 freeways. The neighborhood is currently under the pressure of overly rapid development. Currently this neighborhood is basically made up of working-class, Latino households in single-family homes. And now the soaring prices of properties in this neighborhood have made it more and more unaffordable to current tenants. Both the LA Planning Commission and the residents are planning on taking some actions to cope with this gentrification.
