Yojoa Lake, Honduras
Architectural design for a summer house located on the north shore of Yojoa Lake in Honduras.
The program required a simple 2 bedroom 2 bathroom structure that could be prefabricated.
In order to reduce cost and time, the design was based on a modular size/form for all the structural members and incorporated the use of light weight materials for the walls and roof.
The louvered system used on the front facade of the house varies in density responding to 2 variables, solar gain and privacy.
The total footprint of the house is 165 sq.m or 1750 sq. f.
The only elements planned to be built on site are the foundation, back wall and entrance stoop partition which are built with local quarry stone and serve as anchor for the rest of the building.
Status: Unbuilt
Location: Yojoa Lake Honduras
