Carmela Bogman and architect Dieter Blok made a design for the Bridgeman's house at the river Spaarne in Haarlem. The design which is called 'The Bridgeman and the water lily' refer to the changes the Spaarne has gone through from an industrial route to a recreational river. The waterlily in the top of the Bridgeman's house glows during night time in different colors and functions as a subtle beacon in the night.
