Geeti Silwal is a dynamic Urban Designer with more than 14 years of experience. As a Project Manager in the Perkins+Will Urban Design team, she provides design and planning expertise on a wide scale of projects including regional plans, master plans, waterfront
developments, urban mixed-use projects, streetscape plans, and design guidelines that deal with issues of connectivity, accessibility, flexibility, conservation and social justice.
Her passion to find zero waste solutions, especially regarding water, incorporates regenerative solutions in her work. She brings broad experience working with communities to develop visions for better cities with a strong focus on sustainable planning practices.
Geeti's key projects as an urban designer or project manager include Naval Air Station South Weymouth Master Development in Massachusetts, Downtown San Pedro Revitalization Plan of CRA/LA, Menlo Park Downtown + El Camino Real Specific Plan in City of Menlo Park and WTA Richmond TOD of Water Transit Authourity in Richmond, California.

After a highly successful Advancing Sustainability: Business + Design Symposium in October of 2011, students from Woodbury University have gathered once again in order to prepare their second annual event. The topic of this year focuses on the "cardiovascular system" of a city—its infrastructure. The discussion will investigate how various infrastructures—perform, exchange, and are incorporated into the natural environment.
