Soccer has become a device for identifying the inherit problems of our society, such as racism, nationalism and poverty. For this project this semester, I would like to identify these issues and design a stadium that could address the issues of accessibility, circulation and programatic intent.

The slides below are from the first pin up we had for this class. The classes postulates that we have done as much as we can with parametric modeling and have arrived in a post parametric world. How can we use parametric design to further the advance field of architecture. David Benjamin believes that the next step is the optimization of these designs. We can use a parametric modeler to create our geometry, then process them in a software that runs genetic algorithms [modeFrontier] and analyze their performance thru solvers [Robot Millennium//strucutral analysis], [Cosmos Flow, Computational Fluid Dynamics], or physical testing through digital fabrication techniques. These slides represent the struggle to understand the software, as well as preliminary techniques in trying to represent the simulated data to individuals that are not entrenched in the design processes. Hopefully, graphic representation and deft of software will greatly improve as the semester progresses.
