more west coast news... U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested 107 people for immigration violations Thursday and Friday in Santa Cruz, Watsonville and Hollister, officials said. If you had any doubts that immigrants are held to be some sort of subhuman entity in this here town, check out their objectification through the naming of this sting operation... Operation Return to Sender. Not kidding.

      Smokety Mc Smoke Smoke

Totally offensive. While I was in San Antonio about a month ago, INS raided this night club near my parents' house and arrested, like, 40 people. It was the figurative shooting of fish in a barrel. Makes me sad. These people just went out for a good time and ended up being deported to God-knows-what part of Mexico.

Javier, are you going through withdrawl from the "news" section of archinect? A little homesick since crossing over to the schoolblog? ;)

However, smokety, it is possible they're not being shipped to Mexico at all, but rather to Halliburton's new Civilian Detention Centers.

Return to Sender?? Are you serious? So does that mean we all have to go back to Europe?

BTW, Marlin - Do you think it is just slightly odd that we have this major immigration "problem" all of a sudden and KBR/Halliburton get the construction bids? Something smells like shit and i think it is coming from the Out House [White House].
