UTILIZING THE QUALITIES OF SIMPLE UBIQUITOUS MATERIALS, WE DESIGNED AN ARCHITECTURAL FOLLY THAT EXPLORED THE CONCEPTS OF TIME, LIGHT, NOISE AND TOUCH TO CREATE A MEDITATIVE SPACE. WORKING BETWEEN SKETCH, RENDERING, AND PHYSICAL AND PARAMETRIC COMPUTATIONAL MODELS, WE WERE ABLE TO TEST AND REFINE OUR PAVILION NOT ONLY QUALITATIVELY, BUT ALSO QUANTITATIVELY - ALLOWING FOR HIGH MATERIAL AND TIME EFFICIENCY IN ITS CONSTRUCTION. SWAY WAS INSTALLED IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD FOR GSAPP’s END OF YEAR SHOW.
