TASKED WITH DEVELOPING A LIGHT INDUSTRIAL LOFT BUILDING ON A CONSTRAINED SITE, WE FOCUSED ON MAKING FLOOR PLATES AS OPEN AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT OBVIOUS EXTERNAL STRUCTURAL SUPPORT. THE DEVELOPMENT OF CUSTOM TRUSS CONNECTORS, FACADE HANGERS AND DETAILING THE CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE BECAME AN INTEGRAL CHALLENGE TO RESOLVING THIS PROJECT. THE RESULTING STRUCTURE IS HUNG FROM FOUR MEGA TRUSSES THAT REST ON TWO INTERNAL CORES, ALLOWING FOR FLEXIBLE INTERIOR PROGRAMMING AS WELL AS PHYSICAL TRANSPARENCY.
