TASKED WITH DEVELOPING A SUN SCREENING FACADE FOR THE ADIDAS BUILDING ON BROADWAY AND HOUSTON, WE DESIGNED A SYSTEM OF SINUOUS BANDS, BASED ON FOUR UNIQUE SPORT MOVEMENTS - HURDLING, KICKING, RUNNING AND SPEED WALKING - WHICH SERVES BOTH TO SHADE THE ALL-GLASS CURTAIN WALL, AS WELL AS TO PROVIDE A NEW IDENTITY FOR THE FLAGSHIP. THE FACADE WAS RATIONALIZED USING ECOTECT DAYLIGHT ANALYSIS, AND DEVELOPED FOR PROTOTYPE PRODUCTION IN SOLIDWORKS.
