The design concept for the creative office space was inspired by the rippling waves and refreshing breezes that are an inherent attribute of the project location.
The grandeur of the Pacific Ocean is expressed through gentle undulation of the glazed facades and the rippling vertical sunshades. The juxtaposition of the waves in elevation and plan give the 190,000 square foot office and retail complex a sense of delicateness and fluidity.
Mullion mounted fins contribute to the effect of the building responding to the geographic and climatic forces while shading the interiors from the sun. The curves at grade carve away from the street to provide a widened public plaza, and the upper floors overhang to shade the pedestrian path.
