This fascinating project came about when the building owner rejected another architecture firm’s floorplan and facade. Responding to strengthened local economies and a growing market appreciation for contemporary design, the developer hoped to update the building plan with fewer but larger apartments with a more-modern appeal.
Using the existing structural plan, we developed a new vision for the full interior architecture and the façade of this 40- unit, luxury residential building. The floorplans merged important traditional preferences, such as a stand-alone kitchens and a family-only private living rooms, with contemporary finishes, such as geometric recessed lighting and neutral ceramic floor tiles.
