Creating Space Out Of Notning: Division Vs Subdivision

The aim of the project to test the possibilities using the research principals of subdivision, primary, and vertical displacement, secondary. Starts from a new division of an existing block of Bowery and the subsequent segmentation and subdivision of the volume of the future Institute building, it allows to create the new green multifunctional space inside the block,  which is connected with the street flow, but at the same time it can be used as a private space for Institute needs accordingly zoning  subdivision. Institute for “Cities In A Box” should become a new type of professional and research/education environment in the Bowery. Concept of “city in a box” based on city playground with a number of public spaces and services.
