I'm a recent Graduate of the Master of Architecture program at Washington University in St Louis. I am originally from the east coast, in the suburbs just outside of Washington, DC. I received my BS. Architecture from the University of Maryland.
I started my travels the summer before my Junior year of college (also the summer before i started the design studio sequence at UMD). I went to Italy to study and do archeological field research in Pompeii, and loved it so much I went back the next summer to continue research in the Vesuvian region, assisting with collecting and recording artifacts of a newly unearthed roman villa. A few years later, I followed the same professor to Egypt, visiting Cairo, Alexandria, and various sites along the Nile River.
In the Fall of 2011, I spent an international semester with Washington University in Seoul, South Korea, studying with Konkuk University's School of Architecture.
I plan to continue traveling around the world while practicing architecture in the city.
ZGF Architects LLP, Washington, DC, US, Architectural Intern
As the 2012 recipient of the Annual ZGF Scholarship funded by the Oregon Community Foundation, I was able to choose to work with the ZGF office in Washington, DC. As a summer intern, I assisted with a handful of projects, such as schematic design for the DC Streetcar initiative, as well as assisting with preparing Design Development documents for University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
EYP Architecture & Engineering, Washington, DC, US, Architectural Intern
Part of design team, assisting design leaders on various projects at universities in Virginia. Specific tasks include designing a scheme for a graphic and interactive science display, named “Biology on Display,” in the new science building on James Madison University’s campus and attending on-site meeting with clients. Also assisted in project proposals at University of William and Mary by composing renderings of plans and elevations.
McDonough Bolyard Peck, Columbia, MD, US, Architect
Part of the Analytical team in the Columbia branch. Performed Cost Estimates on architectural, electrical, civil, and mechanical drawings. Also assisted in the field with government turnover inspections of architectural finishes for the new National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) building in Springfield, VA. Was also employed as summer/winter intern in 2006 & 2007.
In the fall of 2009, I was a contractor for the US Army Corps of Engineers. Provided project and contract management to USACE for utility projects at Joint Base Myer Henderson Hall (JBMHH). Bases with upgrades include Fort Myer (Arlington, VA) and Fort McNair (Washington, DC). Tasks included analyzing sanitary, storm, and water upgrade designs, project coordination with Public Works, military personnel, and contractors.
Esocoff & Associates | architects, Washington, DC, US, Intern Architect
Part of design team specializing in projects in Washington DC. Projects include HALFSTREET, a high-rise residential / mixed use building located in Navy Yard by Nationals Stadium. Direct design experience with exterior façade design and landscaping, with emphasis on green technology, artistic expression, and use of custom brick style of firm. Other work included a campus planning project in Chevy Chase, MD. Other tasks included building digital and physical models, assisting with punch listing.

The Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architectural Scholarship Fund of The Oregon Community Foundation is intended to recognize and foster students who have a demonstrated talent and passion for architecture. The scholarship is an annual award given to students attending a NAAB accredited program and are starting their last year in their architectural program.
