pack sixteen boxes into the given envelope, boxes may have any size and proportion. in the process, perceive the given envelope as a “solid”. the packed boxes will subtract from this solid to generate “voids”. the ratio of solid:void in the resulting project would be thrity:seventy. boxes may overlap or nest. in this case, decide whether boxes merge of whether the overlap becomes solid. this solid would count towards the thirty percent limit. lastly, create eight variations of your project, using a cropping box of one/eight of the size of the given envelope. without changing anything to your design, crop eight sections from your project at locations of your choice.
the design relies on the idea of creating a set of boxes that subsequently break parallel, and then are elevated at different planes and interweaved to its subsequent neighbor box, to finally be clustered toward on side of the envelope to distort plane views.
