Mombasa and the Kizingo district itself sit on many thresholds, between land and sea, green forests and ocean waves, Africa and the rest of the world. Our proposal is a building that explores those thresholds and more... The threshold between horizontal and vertical, landscape and tower, lush tiered garden and seaside beacon. It is a building that has grown up from the sea as well as one that has been carved by the winds. It blends modern tower and landscape, its sculpted form cascades with subtle setbacks and agile curves creating an icon for this exclusive site.
