This 13-suite boutique-hotel and spa is a contemporary reflection of its astounding natural surroundings. Unlike most tropical hotel resorts, this project draws inspiration from the pristine waters and beach directly facing the property, and turns the existing architectural shell into a flowing, peaceful and immersive hotel experience, an extension of the beach it sits upon. The interiors are a poetic and metaphorical journey inspired by the sea: wave-shaped walls, organic forms, wind-shaped sofas and floating LED chandeliers evoke an underwater wonderland. On the exterior, the decorative wave cladding tumbles away from the volcanic rock facade toward the sea.
